I am a computer science Ph.D. candidate and a graduate research assistant at the Informatics Research Institute, University of Louisiana. I have got my B.Sc degree in computer science and automatic control engineering from the Faculty of Engineering, Alexandria University, Egypt, in 2001. I have got an M.S. degree in Computer Engineering from the College of Engineering and Technology - Arab Academy for Science, Technology, and Maritime Transport (AAST), Egypt, 2011. I have also got an M.S. degree in computer science from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette in 2016. I have more than 15 years of professional experience in many roles as a senior systems engineer, a software developer, and a teaching assistant. My research focus is on designing machine learning algorithms and deep learning-based systems for automating medical diagnosis. My case study is epileptic seizures' detection and prediction using EEG raw signals.
